The new building works are going to plan and on schedule in Desmond College. A new Woodwork Room, new classrooms and a new ASD Unit are due to be completed in time for the school year 2018/2019.
The principal, Vourneen Gavin Barry, said that both staff and students are really looking forward to the completion date when these new state of the art buildings will be used for lessons.
The large extension being build by Moloney Contractors has had little impact on the day to day life of the school this year she said,
“We couldn’t be happier with the way the project has been coordinated by Limerick and Clare ETB and the contractors, while we are watching it grow with each passing day it has not impacted on school life at all.”
