Healthy Eating Week took place in Desmond College from Jan 22nd -26th 2018.

A range of activities took place including healthy eating presentations during wellbeing class, Mary Ryan a guest speaker presented a Healthy Eating talk to a number of students. A healthy eating fact of the day was announced daily to all students.

Fruit cups and smoothies were on sale throughout the week.

The students were also given the opportunity to take part in a Master Chef Healthy Eating Cook Off Competition.


Jan 2018: Winner of the Desmond College 2nd year Healthy Eating Cook Off
Well done to Aaron Moinbhiol and Leah Culloty who won the 2nd year healthy eating cook off which was part of healthy eating week.
Aaron made a chicken and mixed vegetable soup and Leah made a Thai green curry with brown rice.

Congratulations to Transition Year students Sarah Leahy and Genevive Collins who were the winners of the Transition Year Master Chef Healthy Eating Cook Off. The girls are pictured with their teachers Ms Guiry and Ms Boohan along with their Principal Ms Vourneen Gavin Barry.
