A touch of madness came over students in Desmond College and Gaelcholaiste Ui Chonba on Wednesday 26th September!

All students dressed up with ‘Mad Hair’ styles and wore ‘Mad Hats’ and casual clothes in order to raise money for the CARI Foundation and The Ark Unit in the Regional Hospital Limerick.

The students were invited to take part in the event by Newcastle West and District Lions Club who have strong links with Desmond College and have previously been involved in fund raising activities together. The event coincided with the 95FM ‘Stop Tour’. Many other local schools participated in the event. The students of Desmond College raised in excess of €500 for this worthy cause.
